Maltese off-road drivers to participate in King of Wales 2015
The roaring engines of offroad buggies at The King of Wales 2015 are calling one of Malta’s finest drivers, Neville Ciantar aka Nusu, to join the international circle of off-roaders in this Ultra4Europe event. Ultra4Europe derives itself from Ultra4RacingUSA and the renown King of the Hammers. This year, The King of Wales will be setting off its 2nd event of this championship. From the Californian desert, and across multiple countries in Europe, this organization has evolved to Italy, Wales, Portugal and soon to France and to down-under Australia. Ultra4Racing is growing at a very fast pace.
Nusu of Nusu Off-road Team and Alan Zahra of Pitass Racing will be participating at this forthcoming event between the 7th and the 9th of August 2015. The King of Wales originally named The King of the Valleys has become one of the toughest off-road races of the UK. This will be Neville’s second time racing at this event in Wales. In 2013 Neville physically placed a very good 9th position. Competitors and spectators from around the globe flock to this event every year. This event spread over a weekend involves a multitude of terrain types from wet muddy sections, dry gravel plains, forest woods, rocky boulder sections, river crossings, quarry paths and literally to rock walls which need some fine winching capabilities and skilful technique to master, over a total of 165 miles.
In the 1st event of this year’s Championship, Neville held the Maltese flag up high on the hills of Parma, Italy where he accomplished his most prestigious event of all time. 3rd place overall in The King of Italy 2015. This event spread over 3 days was a gruelling race to the end at very high temperatures and although they experienced 2 roll over’s in the buggy and having vital parts of the buggy deciding suddenly not to work, their determination got them to the finish flag with the 3rd best time in. With no penalties and all the ground covered, Nusu Off-road Team Malta made a great name for their country and upon arrival at the Malta International Airport, Neville was pleased to be greeted by the Hon. Mr. Chris Agius, Parliamentary Secretary for Research, Innovation, youth and sports.
Neville Ciantar, thanks his family and his loyal friends who help him reach his goals. He would like to thank as well his few but extremely helpful sponsors, his supporters, Kunsill Malti Ghall-Isport and the Malta Motorsport Federation. Neville still requires further sponsorships that might be interesting to any local businesses that would like to advertise their products or services to his followers.
